Denzel Curry is one of the most electrifying and influential voices in contemporary hip-hop. Born and raised in Miami Gardens, Florida, Curry began writing poetry in elementary school before turning to rap in sixth grade, a path that quickly set him apart as a fierce, boundary-pushing talent. Emerging from the underground with his debut mixtape King Remembered Underground Tape 1991–1995, Curry became an early pioneer of the SoundCloud rap movement and a member of SpaceGhostPurrp’s Raider Klan, helping shape a new era of raw, experimental hip-hop.

His breakout continued with Nostalgic 64 and a string of acclaimed releases that showcased his versatility, grit and razor-sharp lyricism. Curry’s explosive 2019 Like a Version cover of Rage Against the Machine’s Bulls on Parade became a global moment, placing fifth in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2019 and cementing his reputation as a fearless performer.

Curry’s fifth studio album, Melt My Eyez See Your Future, debuted on the Billboard charts and featured collaborations with T-Pain, 6lack, Rico Nasty, J.I.D and Thundercat. In 2026, he announced the formation of his new hip-hop collective, The Scythe, and will join Deftones on their European tour, further proof of an artist constantly evolving, innovating and redefining modern rap.
